Artist Statement:
I feel captivated by the beauty of nature's colors. Creating art is healing to my mind, body, and spirit. I use different mediums because they allow me to express different ideas and emotions. My created artwork includes drawing, painting with acrylics, watercolors, and gouache. I sometimes include poetry with my art pieces as a way of verbal expression. I feel that each medium communicates with the other freely.
My name is Marta Beatriz, but you can call me Trizzy. I hail from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, where art has woven its way into the very fabric of my life. For me, art isn't just a hobby; it's a form of nourishment and self-care that I hold dear to my heart. The path I walk is one of healing through creativity, a passion that has burned within me since my earliest memories.
As a little girl, I found solace and joy in creation. Whether sketching, painting, or crafting, art became my sanctuary. Even at the tender age of 10, I penned my first piece of creative writing. I still remember the thrill of winning third place in a school competition—it was like a flame igniting in my soul, urging me to pursue this creative journey with all my heart.
From then on, my life became a canvas where I passionately painted with different mediums. Acrylics, watercolors, oil pastels—they all held stories waiting to be told. Clay, too, found its way into my hands, shaping not just art, but also my path of healing.
Writing and creating art have been my companions through thick and thin, bringing me not only joy but also a sense of hope and restoration. The journey has been a colorful one, marked by gala auctions and prestigious Art Exhibitions in the State of Tennessee. But it's not just about recognition; it's about the profound impact that art can have on people's lives.
My poetry found its place in the world, too, published in the pages of "Faith, Hope & Recovery in Letters Publications." Yet, amidst all this, there's a cause that truly sets my heart ablaze—being an advocate for those navigating the intricate realm of mental health. My feet have carried me across the State of Tennessee, where I stand before audiences as a Therapeutic Art Coach and a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist. Through workshops and presentations, I help others realize the transformative power of art as a means of healing.
Under the banner of Art by Trizzy Studio, I've opened doors to Healing Arts Workshops, Arts4Healing Retreats, Paint & Sip Parties, and Coaching sessions. It's a sanctuary where emotional wounds find solace and a haven where hearts find restoration. This journey isn't just mine; it's a path I walk hand in hand with others, guiding them toward healing and wholeness.
But the calling doesn't stop there. In the midst of it all, I heard the divine whisper to minister through Prophetic Arts. It's an honor to share this gift, to be a conduit of spiritual expression that touches hearts and souls. The invitations to retreats and worship services are welcomed with open arms, as each platform becomes an opportunity to spread light and healing through art.
This is my story—a tapestry woven from the threads of passion, healing, and artistry. And as I move forward, brush in hand and heart full of purpose, I embrace each new day as a chance to paint the world with hope and colors that heal.
